The Board of
Directors of the
Toronto Parking
Authority are
pleased to announce
the appointment of
Mr. Gwyn Thomas to
the position of President of the
Toronto Parking
Authority effective
August 1, 2007. Mr.
Thomas is currently
the Authority's Vice
President,
Operations. He will
be succeeding Maurice
J. Anderson who will
be retiring on July
31, 2007 after 32
years with the
Authority.
After 23 years of
service in the
transportation field
with the City of
Etobicoke, Mr.
Thomas joined the
Authority in 1998
when the City of
Toronto came into
being through the
amalgamation of the
seven former
municipal
governments of
Metropolitan
Toronto.
Mr. Thomas joined
the Board of
Directors of the
Canadian Parking
Association in 2001
and is currently
serving a two-year
term as the
Association's
President.
